2026 Student Research Scholarship Application

AHS STudent RESEARCH Scholarship Opportunity to attend the 2026 Scottsdale Headache Symposium

The American Headache Society is pleased to offer the opportunity to five students to attend the 2026 Scottdale Headache Symposium, being held December 3-6, 2026 at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, AZ. The AHS Student Research award is designed to expand access to the meeting for early-career researchers and to foster the next generation of headache investigators.

By providing travel support, the scholarship encourages principal investigators and mentors to support students to attend the Scottsdale Headache Symposium and gain early exposure to the scientific, clinical, and professional community of AHS. Attendance at this formative stage helps young investigators build lasting connections with the Society, engage with leaders in the field, and explore career pathways in the headache field including research.

The AHS Student Research Award also aims to broaden participation by welcoming students whose work intersects with or complements headache research, helping to strengthen the pipeline, interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation within the field.

Through this award, AHS invests in the professional development of students while strengthening the future of headache research and the Society itself.

Recipients will receive complimentary meeting registration, a stipend up to $800 for reimbursement of eligible travel expenses as noted on the recipient acceptance letter, and a one-year AHS Trainee membership (or a one-year extension of an existing Trainee membership).
