AHS Announces a Resident Scholarship Opportunity to attend the 2025 Scottsdale Headache Symposium

The American Headache Society (AHS), in partnership with For the Love of Ryan, is pleased to announce the availability of five resident scholarships to support attendance at the 2025 Scottsdale Headache Symposium taking place December 4–7, 2025, at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.

The Scottsdale Headache Symposium brings together medical specialists from across disciplines to learn the fundamentals of headache medicine. Each scholarship provides up to $2,000 to cover meeting registration, hotel accommodations up to 3 nights, and airfare.

Eligibility
Applicants should: 

  • Be a resident in a training program
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in headache medicine
  • Have experience working with mental health disorders
  • Not have won an AHS scholarship with in the past 2 years; past winners within 2 years are not eligible to apply
  • Reside in the United States or Canada

Application requirements:
To apply, please submit:

  • Completed application form
  • Current CV
  • Letter of recommendation from your Residency Program Director

Recipient requirements:

  • In-person* attendance to the 2025 Scottsdale Headache Symposium
  • Participation at the Town Hall on Friday from 5:00 - 5:30 PM local time for award recognition
  • Attendance at a meal with members of the AHS Board of Directors

*Please note failure to attend in person will result in forfeiture of your scholarship award. If an unforeseen circumstance arises that prevents you from attending the meeting after you have received a Resident Scholarship, we invite you to apply for the next opportunity available even if it is within 2 years of having received the forfeit award.
