2026 Runnin’ for Research Advocacy Awards
The American Headache Society will award up to two Runnin’ for Research Advocacy Awards to attend either the 68th Annual Scientific Meeting, June 4-7, 2026 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, FL, or the 2026 Scottsdale Headache Symposium, December 3-6, 2025 at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, AZ.
Recipients will receive complimentary meeting registration and a one-year AHS Trainee membership if not already a member of AHS, or a one-year extension of their existing AHS Trainee membership and a stipend up to $2,000 for reimbursement of eligible travel expenses as noted on the recipient acceptance letter.
Criteria for selection are based on:
- Any neurology resident may apply with preference given to applicants from cities involved in Miles for Migraine events.
- Career goals align with the AHS mission.
- Include health advocacy as a part of their career trajectory.
Applicant must:
- Not have won an AHS scholarship within the past 2 years; past winners within 2 years are not eligible to apply.
- Reside in the United States or Canada.
- Summary (100 words or less) on why applicant is interested in attending an AHS meeting
- Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of recommendation by a training director, department chair or AHS Member
Applicants should submit this application and all supporting materials no later than Sunday, February 22, 2026 and 11:59 pm ET.
